Duties and responsibilities
Nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialists are advanced practice registered nurse who have received special courses and training. They usually work closely with doctors and can perform many high level primary care tasks. They often specialize in specific types of practice such as pediatrics, or obstetrics. Some establish private practices; however, most work in doctors’ offices, hospital, or neighborhood health centers duties often include:
Ø Taking detailed medical histories and performing complete physical exams
Ø Providing diagnoses and recommending treatment plans.
Ø Treating common medical conditions, illnesses, and injures
Ø Prescribing limited medications
Ø Counseling patients and families
Average salary:$39,000-$70,000
Educational requirements
Student should take challenging high school courses in science math and English. Student must complete all of the educational requirements to become a baccalaureate prepared registered nurse. They must then then complete additional masters level training and pass a certification examination.

Clinical technologists perform more complex laboratory tests and procedures than technicians. They also supervise technicians ,confirm their tests and manage laboratory quality control programs.
Most clinical laboratory specialists work in hospitals but they are also employed by private practice ,medical groups research laboratories pharmaceutical companies and university
Average salary: $20,000-$28,000 (clinical laboratory technician)
$15,000-$40,000 (clinical technologist)
Educational requirement :
Student should take the most challenging high school course in science ,math, and English
An associate degree in the field or completion of a specialized in house training program is required to become a clinical laboratory technicians
A bachelor’s degree in the field is normally required to become a clinical technologists however some employers accept an associate degree and extensive clinical experience  as a substitute.

Both technicians and technologists perform laboratory work to identify, diagnose ,and treat diseases .

Clinical laboratory technicians use microscope laboratory equipment chemicals and computers to perform laboratory procedures .they also collect blood specimens and prepare reports for clinical technologists or physicians.
