duties and responsibilities:Recognizes, evaluates, and controls chemical, physical, and biological hazards in the work place. Evaluates university compliance with regard to state and federal occupational health and safety regulations, laws, rules, and codes. Educates and informs employees and students about occupational health and safety hazards.This is a specialized classification and is distinguished from the Health/Safety Specialist in that incumbents perform industrial hygiene functions.for example Performs industrial hygiene filed measurements and safety evaluations.Assesses work place for occupational health hazards by observing work conditions, assessing records, conducting interviews, sampling, and monitoring chemical or physical agents.
salary:The median expected salary for a typical Industrial Hygienist in the United States is $77,857

education:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene or other physical or life science field AND three years industrial hygiene related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Possession of a current State of Arizona Type D driver's license is required upon employment

reflection:i would not like to be a industrial hygienist for many reasons. first of all because it sounds BORING and because it takes too much years of school and i don't really like school
